  • How do I buy tickets?
Purchase tickets one of three ways: Find your event on our website and follow the “Tickets” button to purchase online. Call our box office at 306-693-4700 and purchase with a credit card. Visit our box office at 217 Main Street and purchase with credit card, debit, or cash.
  • Are tickets general admission or do I choose a specific seat?
All our events are ticketed by specific seat unless specifically labeled as general admission.
  • Are tickets refundable or exchangeable?
Show cancellations are the only situation in which a refund will be issued. Exchanges cannot be made.
  • What happens if a show is postponed or cancelled?
If a show is postponed, only once a new date is officially announced can a refund be requested. If a show is cancelled, credit card refunds will be processed automatically. Debit and cash refunds will be processed in person at the box office.
  • Where can I access show announcements and presale opportunities?
All new shows are announced on our website, Facebook, Instagram, and email newsletter. Presale opportunities are exclusively available to email newsletter subscribers. Sign up and be the first to hear!
  • Is all your programming kid-friendly?
Unless a show is clearly marked 19+, we encourage parents and guardians to independently evaluate performers.
  • When do doors open before a show?
The foyer, box office, Visual Art Gallery, and bar (if applicable) open one hour prior to showtime. Theatre doors generally open 30 minutes prior showtime.
  • How long are shows?
Every show is different but most are typically 75-120 minutes. Any show with more than one 45-minute set will automatically have a 20-minute intermission. For shows starting at 7:30 pm, audiences are typically on their way out by 10:00 pm.
  • May I take photos or videos of a show?
Photography and recordings with mobile device are permitted. Any professional-grade camera or recording equipment is prohibited. If a show’s licence prohibits photos and recording entirely, that will be made clear with signage and a verbal announcement.

  • Does the MJCC have volunteer opportunities?
It sure does! We wouldn't be able to offer the kind of programming that we do without our incredible team of volunteers. Every show requires volunteers, from ticket takers to bartenders to ushers. A sold out show requires almost 20 volunteers to run smoothly! You can find the online application here.
  • How old do I need to be to volunteer?
As of right now, volunteer opportunities are only available to those 18 and older.
  • Do I need to have previous experience in a theatre?
Short answer, no! If you are good with people, love the arts, and want to help bring diverse programming to Moose Jaw, then this opportunity is for you. If you wish to become part of our bartending team, we do ask that you do some Serve it Right training.
  • How do I apply?
The online application can be found here: Our paper application form is available for pick up at the box office. Alternatively, you can email Jen (our volunteer coordinator), and ask that one be emailed to you. jennifer@moosejawculture.ca After we receive your application, we will call you or meet you for a short interview and an hour of training (most training is learnt best "on the job"). You will then qualify to sign up for events through the online portal.
